New York approves the NY Dream Act that authorizes scholarships to young migrants.

Students will be able to access state financial aid and continue higher studies thanks to the approved law. After almost a decade of difficulties, New York has approved the NY Dream Act, now known as José Peralta New York State DREAM Act, in memory of the late senator, who was a passionate defender of the NY Dream Act.

The law provides both undocumented students and others with access to grants and scholarships administered by the State of New York, which finance the costs of their higher education. “Investing in the future of young immigrants is investing in the future of New York.” The law opens the doors of higher education to thousands of students providing access to the new Excelsior scholarship, the Tuition Assistance Program and also other State-administered scholarships that were not previously available to them.Applications are now available at: https://nysdream.applyists.net/
